Ethical principles
Ethical principles
"Independence, competence, and sustainability are the quintessential values of our consulting activities. Our 10 ethical principles provide the foundation for this purpose.”
Binding regulations are more important to us than prescribed processes, as rigidity would limit creativity and flexibility, and therefore also the quality and delivery speed of our consulting services.
Our “CONVINUS Professional Ethics Principles” form the binding foundation for our entrepreneurial activities.
These simple principles guide our employees’ decisions and ensure our professionalism. It ensures conduct that is transparent, fair, and shows integrity for our clients and partners.
THE 10 CONVINUS PROFESSIONAL ETHICS PRINCIPLES:
Cooperation and respect
Excellent solutions arise through equitable collaboration between various specialist disciplines. The absence of and/or having only weak hierarchies between the specialist disciplines, respect for various value systems, and the appreciation of every single contribution and person are fundamentally important for high-quality, innovative results. Mutual respect and fair cooperation characterize our relationships, both internally as well as with clients and other partners.
The client’s interests have priority
Our company is successful when our clients are successful. In order to offer a reliable and efficient achievement of goals, we provide clients with the best qualified employee at the right time. Priorities are always determined by the goals and needs of the client and the project agreed upon.
Fostering and further development of employees
The specialist skills and social competency of our employees form the basis for excellent work. We have the highest standards for the selection and fostering of our employees. This takes place in the interest of our clients, to provide our employees with outstanding development prospects, and as a basis for winning over inquisitive doers with a high development potential for our company. Constant further personal and professional development is our most important internal investment, and ensures the future of our company.
Clients in competitive situations
We offer our services to all interested clients. If we are already working for clients who are in direct competition with an interested party, we work together with the companies involved to find a solution in order to be able to cater to both companies wherever possible. Both during and after a project, we ensure at all times that no information which is not already public or other sources of competitive advantages is exchanged between the clients or the project teams working for them.
In particularly sensitive industries, we expressly reserve the right to decline to provide our services to any new clients from the same industry as one of our existing clients. This has already been done on occasion in the past. Our loyalty to existing clients always takes precedence over new client projects.
Responsible project acceptance
We only accept projects if we are confident of achieving the desired goals. Furthermore, we only work on projects that, in our opinion, are beneficial for the client’s business. If this is not the case, we will explain our (contrary) opinion to the client. Intelligent and innovative solutions require an active, open dialog with clients and firm decisions. We are looking for clients who accept our ethical principles, are interested in long-term collaboration, and who challenge us to provide excellent services through fair and transparent collaboration.
Confidentiality
All documents and information which we receive during our collaboration with clients are handled in the strictest confidence. Since the company was founded over 20 years ago, CONVINUS’s philosophy is that no names and client references are published. In exceptional cases and exclusively for specific situations, we provide references in the form of company names, but only in a highly selective manner, and only after obtaining prior consent from the client.
Information on the client relationship itself, project content, and other details remain a secret at all times.
No exit barriers
Our clients should be able to freely choose their preferred service provider at their own discretion. We do not create any conscious or planned dependencies which limit this freedom of choice for our clients. It is in our professional interest to recommend to our clients the most efficient and expedient solution, even if this would result in a reduction in or even the end of our partnership.
Integrity
We undertake to uphold the highest standards for personal and professional integrity and trustworthiness. In particular, we do not obtain knowledge or any other advantage by misrepresenting false facts. If we utilize external support in a client project, we make this fact transparent to our client.
Independence
CONVINUS’s great strength lies in its independence. Through consistently high performance, organic growth, and an extremely motivated, committed, and professional team, CONVINUS has worked its way up to become THE address in Switzerland for all topics related to international assignment. At the same time, we have retained the full extent of our independence. We also utilize this strength when working for our clients. We utilize this independence (CONVINUS’s headquarters is in Zurich, we are NOT one of many subsidiaries of a global service provider conglomerate headquartered e.g. in the USA), combined with speed and flexibility, to the advantage of our clients.
We do not withhold any relevant facts or recommendations known to us, even if this would result in a reduction in order volume. We withdraw from a project or a client relationship if continuing to work on the project or in such a relationship would result in an inextricable conflict with our integrity or our claim to provide professional services.
Fairness and transparency in commissioned projects/partnerships
Whenever possible, we offer our clients all-inclusive fees, such that our clients have a basis for performing calculations and decision-making. Unfortunately, we have noticed that in the consulting industry, it continues to be the case the project costs are (knowingly) calculated too low with the goal of increasing the costs later over the course of the project. We vehemently reject this practice! We rely on long-term and trusted partnerships with our clients!
